Lackawanna Ambulance began on August 4, 1998 as a small group of emergency service workers in the greater Scranton area who were determined to bring locally controlled ambulance services to people of the region. We have grown into a 10-year story of service and achievement now employing over 130 staff members and responding to thousands of emergent and non-emergent calls on a monthly basis. Lackawanna Ambulance needed a website that could better engage its various stakeholders, allow for fresh content, and convey the excitement of being an ambulance company.
Our objective was to deliver a website design that offered a unique sense of excitement coupled with a communication strategy that organized pertinent content around each of its distinctly unique audiences. Unlike most websites that typically have one audience, the customers, an ambulance company realistically needs to brands itself within the community, healthcare organizations, it's employees, and EMS professionals in need of training. Unlike the previous website, the new website, componentized blogs, photo galleries, content, navigation, and forms by type of visitor. Furthermore, we implemented features that allow a post-once use-many-times approach thus streamlining the site administration requirements.
