The village of Waverly at the center of the township was once an independent borough (incorporated in 1854) but gave up its charter in 1920 to revert back to the name Abington township. Waverly was named from the title of a popular novel by Sir Walter Scott. In December of 2010, the township changed its name from Abington to Waverly. Waverly Township was happy with its design and simply wanted a website they could update themselves.
Our objective was to take the current design and content and transfer it to the Squarespace 5 platform. However, it would have been a disservice to our client to simply give them website pages, without leveraging some of advantages of the Squarespace platform. Specifically, we used Blogs to create the Event Blog which in turn automatically feeds the home page, serving dual purposes. We also took advantage of the enhanced document upload feature for Waverly Township to maintain their public township documents for resident download.
Website Features:
- Client can directly update website via any browser, any computer, any time.
- Rotating Header Banner
- Community Information Blog
- Front Page blog feeds
- Site-wide Sidebar
- Online Documents
As an as-is conversion to Squarespace, the website design is not a design by Internet Innovations Group.
This is just one of many solutions we have implemented as part of our daily Network, Server, and Desktop support; or a solution delivered as part of our Website, Mobile App, or Database development projects.
